Borotto® Lumia 8 Egg Incubator

2 items left

Small footprint, serious hatch. The Borotto® Lumia 8 starts you strong with antimicrobial plastic for a cleaner environment, automatic temperature control (86–104°F) on a clear digital display, and a built-in motor that turns eggs every hour—so you’re not glued to a spreadsheet and a timer. When it’s hatch time, move eggs from the turner to the included tray and watch the magic happen.

Who It’s For

First-time hatchers, classrooms, and small-flock keepers running careful, low-stress sets—anyone who wants reliable results without a giant incubator taking over the room.

What’s Included / Specs

  • Capacity: up to 8 chicken, duck, or pheasant eggs; up to 32 quail eggs

  • Compatibility: some goose, turkey, or peafowl eggs may fit; very large eggs won’t fit in the turner

  • Temperature: automatic monitoring/adjustment with digital display, 86–104°F set range

  • Turning: automatic—motor gently rotates eggs hourly

  • Hatching: shift eggs from the turner to the provided hatching tray when due

  • Construction: antimicrobial plastic housing

  • Origin & Warranty: Made in Italy; 2-year manufacturer warranty

How to Use / What to Expect

  1. Place & pre-test: Draft-free room (65–75°F). Run empty for 12–24 hours to confirm stable temp.

  2. Set eggs: Pointy end down. Verify your set temp matches species needs.

  3. Hands-off turning: Let the hourly auto-turner do the work.

  4. Humidity: Maintain per species/day (add water as directed). Compatible with an optional humidity pump (available separately here)

  5. Lockdown: Move eggs to the hatching tray at the right day (e.g., day 18 for chickens). No peeking during pipping/zip unless necessary.

  6. After hatch: Let chicks dry inside; then transfer to a pre-warmed brooder. Unplug and clean thoroughly before your next set.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug, allow to cool, then wipe interior with mild soap and warm water. Rinse/wipe and air-dry completely. Avoid abrasives or harsh chemicals that can scratch or leave residues.

Hatch Reality (Honest Expectations)

Great gear can’t fix bad inputs. Shipped eggs often hatch lower than farm-fresh due to transit stress. Your temperature stability, humidity control, sanitation, and patience drive outcomes more than any single feature.

Warranty & Support

Includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Keep your proof of purchase and follow the included instructions for service.

Shipping & Timing

Ships with your farm-supply order. If your cart also includes print-on-demand items, those ship separately.

“Open the lid during hatch and you just invited shrink-wrap to the party. Set it, watch it, don’t fuss it.”
