Meanwhile, you're over there checking water levels, watching humidity, adding a little water, checking again, and wondering why hatching eggs apparently require their own tiny weather station.

The Borotto® SIRIO Automatic Humidity Pump takes over the water management for you. Set your target humidity, place the intake tube in an external water container, and SIRIO monitors humidity inside the incubator and automatically adds small amounts of water as needed.

Less opening the incubator. Less babysitting water channels. More leaving the eggs alone to do their thing.

Automatic Humidity Control

SIRIO uses a Sensirion humidity sensor inside the incubator to monitor relative humidity. The sensor has a stated accuracy of ±1%, while an intelligent PID microprocessor controls a peristaltic pump that delivers small amounts of water as conditions require.

The display shows both the measured humidity and your selected setting, with an adjustable range from 40% to 75% RH.

SIRIO adds water to increase and maintain humidity. It does not actively remove moisture if humidity is too high.

How It Works

Place the humidity sensor inside the incubator according to the SIRIO instructions and position the water intake tube in a clean external water container.

Set the desired humidity percentage on the control panel. SIRIO monitors conditions inside the incubator and pumps small amounts of water into the incubator when needed. As the water evaporates, the system progressively adjusts delivery as it approaches the selected humidity level.

That gradual adjustment matters. This isn't a spray bottle with ambition.

Important Setup Information

SIRIO's internal sensor also monitors temperature as part of its operation. The pump will not deliver water unless the sensor detects a temperature of at least 37°C/98.6°F.

Borotto recommends operating SIRIO in a room at least 20°C/68°F. In colder rooms, particularly around the edges of an incubator, the sensor may detect a temperature below its operating threshold and stop water delivery.

Sensor placement matters too. Follow the included instructions for your incubator and do not position the humidity sensor directly above the water inlet trays.

Always choose humidity settings based on the species you're incubating and the stage of incubation. There is no single humidity percentage that's right for every egg from set to hatch.

Compatible With More Than Borotto Incubators

SIRIO is designed as a universal automatic humidity system and can be used with many brands and sizes of incubators. Borotto rates it for incubators ranging from approximately 10 eggs to more than 500 eggs.

Installation varies by incubator, so follow the SIRIO instructions for sensor placement and water delivery with your particular setup.
