These aren't just black-feathered chickens.
Swedish Black Hens, also known as Bohuslän-Dals Black Hens, are a small Swedish landrace with dark pigmentation that can extend beyond the feathers to the skin, comb, skeleton, and meat. Their history is tied to old black chicken populations of northern Bohuslän and Dalsland.
They're unusual even by our standards.
Which is saying something around here.
