Hedemora

Hedemoras look like somebody prepared a chicken for a Swedish winter.

And honestly, that's not far off.

This landrace comes from the Hedemora area of Sweden and is known for unusually dense, downy plumage developed in a cold northern climate. Birds can vary considerably in color, and their feathering can be smooth or woolly.

They're strange, fluffy, historically fascinating chickens.

So naturally, we needed them.
