Winter chores don’t have to be heroic. The
Winter Water & Wellness CluckKit™ bundles the cold-weather basics that actually make mornings easier: a
heated water solution (you choose), our
Backyard Chicken Health Pack for routine support, and a
24" cleaning brush for tidy drinkers. Fewer ice chisels. Fewer frantic searches. More coffee.
Who It’s For
Keepers who want reliable winter water access and a simple wellness backup—without turning the coop into a science project.
Choose Your Heat Option
(pick one)
-
Heated All-Season Poultry Waterer (3 gal, 100W): Thermostatically controlled, classic reservoir style; hang or set. No-fuss choice for standard flocks.
-
Deluxe Heated Hen Hydrator — Nipple Waterer (3 gal, 65W): Translucent bucket with four side nipples; tidy drink points in winter.
-
K&H Heated Poultry Waterer Base: Heated base for galvanized waterers and plastic models rated for base use.
-
Electric Heater Base for Waterers (125W, galvanized steel): Thermostatic heated base for galvanized waterers, bowls & pans.
-
Poultry Water Heater Base (28W, 12V low-voltage): Clamp-style base for round drinkers (fits up to 12.6" diameter).
-
Chicken Waterer De-Icer (150W): Submersible de-icer, safe in plastic; ideal for bucket systems.
Compatibility snapshot: Metal bases are for metal double-walled founts unless your plastic model explicitly says “OK on heated base.” Bucket systems love the De-Icer. Prefer cleaner drink points? Pick the Nipple Waterer.

Quick-Start + Winter Setup Tips — placement, cord routing, daily checks
Why It Works (and keeps working)
- Heated access reduces ice so birds keep drinking when temps dive.
- Routine support on hand keeps small issues small.
- Clean drinkers = better habits (yours and theirs).
30-Second Setup
- Place waterer out of direct wind; route cords away from beaks.
- Plug into a GFCI-protected outlet; keep all joins dry & off the ground.
- AM/PM peek: top off, knock slush, wipe ports/edges.
- Restock the Health Pack after use so future-you doesn’t panic.
Safety & Care
(read this part)
- No heat lamps—ever.
- Outdoor-rated cords only; elevate and protect connections from moisture.
- Metal base → metal, double-walled founts only unless your plastic fount is explicitly base-rated.
- Follow each manufacturer’s instructions and label directions.

FAQs
Will this prevent ice 100%?
It helps reduce ice formation and keeps water accessible longer. In extreme cold, quick checks are still smart.
Do I need a plug-in thermostat controller?
Built-in heated waterers are typically thermostated. Bases and de-icers often benefit from a plug-in temperature controller (e.g.,
Thermo Cube®) if you want extra control.
What’s in the Health Pack again?
Oxy E-100, HealthyFlock Tabs, and Zyfend A. Use as directed; refresh water daily.
Egg discard?
None when used as directed.
