Compatibility snapshot: Metal bases are for metal double-walled founts unless your plastic model explicitly says “OK on heated base.” Bucket systems love the De-Icer. Prefer cleaner drink points? Pick the Nipple Waterer.

FAQs

Will this prevent ice 100%?

It helps reduce ice formation and keeps water accessible longer. In extreme cold, quick checks are still smart.

Do I need a plug-in thermostat controller?

Built-in heated waterers are typically thermostated. Bases and de-icers often benefit from a plug-in temperature controller (e.g., Thermo Cube®) if you want extra control.

What’s in the Health Pack again?
Oxy E-100, HealthyFlock Tabs, and Zyfend A. Use as directed; refresh water daily.

Egg discard?
None when used as directed.
