When I ordered this I didn’t expect it to be so big, three compartments yes, but this things is much larger than anticipated.
All of my chickens can eat out of it! We have chickens from bantam size all the way to a giant Langshan and they can all get into it without any problem.
The lid stays on great, it’s not loose so even if my birds knock it over the lid stays attached.
When it’s full, it’s very hefty so it’s not easy to tip over.
So happy with this product and you will be too!
This little grit station really does the trick for an outdoor run. I leave it outside with the chickens and ducks and they have all been using it when needed. I wasn’t sure at first but after being left outside for a week or so my birds took to it and now I see them in and out of it frequently.
As long as the station is full and lid is snapped tight, the station works perfectly. Chickens can't scratch the grit out and it stays dry. Good buy for the price.

Design is compact yet allows for lots of chickens to feed. Got varying ages to your flock, this will fit the young to the older ladies without a problem.
My chickens all ate from it very easily. My larger birds like standard Cochins strayed away from it a little more than my average size and smaller chickens. It will be great for the winter when my birds get locked inside the barn for the cold and snow.
