How to Use
Make Frozen Treat Rings
- Add 1–2 teaspoons of Coop Cooler™ Herbal Blend or a small handful of Bee-Tastic Treat Mix to 2–4 cups of water, low-sodium broth, applesauce, or yogurt.
- Pour into the included Bundt mold.
- Freeze until solid.
- Unmold and place in a shaded area during the hottest part of the day.
Support Hydration
- Mix Flock Fixer according to package directions.
- Refresh water often.
- Provide multiple water stations to reduce competition.
Add Enrichment
- Scatter Bee-Tastic lightly in the run.
- Add to forage trays or enrichment mats.
- Rotate frozen herb rings and treat rings to keep birds interested.
Good to Know
- Treats and enrichment should follow the 90/10 rule: no more than 10% of the diet.
- Always provide cool, fresh water alongside any electrolyte supplement.
- Offer plenty of shade and ventilation during hot weather.
- Chicks and bantams may need smaller frozen pieces.
- Provide grit when serving treats containing seeds or insects.
- Signs of heat stress include panting, wings held away from the body, lethargy, and reduced activity. Severe symptoms require immediate cooling measures and veterinary guidance.
