One Dozen Shetland Hen Chicken Hatching Eggs

Eggs didn't do well...

Shipping was on time and it was a great transaction, but unfortunately only 3 started growing out of a generous dozen+ that I received, but 2 quit and only 1 hatched. I would definitely order the chicks next time, as sadly, the eggs for Shetlands don't ship well. I'm a very seasoned hatcher, it's very unusual for me to get this hatch rate. All the other eggs from shipped egg orders in the same (Brinsea) incubator did great. I wish UPS was offered instead of USPS. Definitely a loss.

Shipped hatching eggs can be incredibly sensitive to handling and conditions during transit, and unfortunately some breeds do seem to tolerate shipping better than others.

UPS is actually available as a shipping option for hatching eggs at checkout.

I do appreciate you mentioning that shipping was on time and that the transaction itself went smoothly, even though the hatch rate was not what you had hoped for.

Great business but eggs didn't make it

Great communication, punctual timing, generous product, but only 2/20 seem they might make it. Eggs did not survive this trip and I sadly will have no Shetland hens.

Awesome Customer Service

Tina has been amazing. My initial order got lost in the USPS and Tina immediately made it right and is shipping me a new order. She was extremely responsive and took care of us. I really appreciate it. The lost order finally did show up and it was packaged perfectly! Those eggs took a two week trip around the US but they arrived intact and all the air cells were perfect. We are trying to hatch them even though they are older eggs. Thank you so much!
