Chicken Treat Pie – Mealworm & Seed Enrichment Cake

Is it a pie? Not really. Will your chickens care? Not at all. The Chicken Treat Pie is a compressed enrichment cake packed with dried mealworms and seeds to give beaks something better to do than peck your boots. Perfect for boredom relief, confinement days, and “let’s throw the flock a party” moments.

    Who It’s For

Winter-bound birds, rainy-day coop captives, kid-helpers who love handing out snacks, and keepers who want treats that do something—engage, occupy, and encourage natural foraging.

    What’s Inside / Specs

    • Format: solid cake

    • Net Weight: approx. 5.5 oz

    • Ingredients: dried mealworms, sunflower hearts, gelatin (binder)

    • Profile: protein-rich insects + seeds for irresistible pecking

    • Not a complete feed—for enrichment and reward

How to Use / What to Expect

    • Serve whole on a treat station/hanging basket or break into chunks and scatter for a longer hunt.

    • Place in a dry, covered area at peck height so birds work for it, not stomp it.

    • Follow the 90/10 rule: 90% balanced feed, ≤10% treats.

    • Chicks/bantams: crumble smaller pieces and offer grit when feeding whole seeds/insects.

    • Remove leftovers at dusk to deter pests.

    • Plays great with our Treat Basket  holder.

    Care & Storage

Store cool, dry, and out of sun. Reseal or keep in an airtight container after opening. Not for human consumption. Keep away from pets that shouldn’t eat seeds/insects.

    Shipping & Timing

Ships with your farm-supply order. If your cart also includes print-on-demand items, those will ship separately.
