The Borotto® Lumia 8 is a compact automatic egg incubator designed for smaller hatches without stripping away the features that make incubation easier. It automatically tilts the eggs, digitally controls temperature, circulates air throughout the incubator, and lets you add water from outside without opening the lid and disrupting the environment you've been obsessively protecting.

Because apparently eight eggs are fully capable of consuming just as much of your attention as forty.

Automatic Egg Turning

The Lumia 8 doesn't simply tip every egg on the same hourly schedule.

Borotto's automatic turning system varies the timing and degree of the egg tilts throughout incubation. The movement is controlled automatically, so you don't have to open the incubator several times a day to turn eggs by hand.

When you reach the appropriate point before hatch for the species you're incubating, follow the included instructions for transitioning from incubation to hatching.

Managing Temperature & Humidity

Temperature is controlled electronically using Borotto's PID microprocessor system and shown on the digital display.

Humidity on the standard Lumia 8 is managed by adding water to the molded reservoirs through the external fill points, so you can add water without opening the incubator. Follow the appropriate humidity recommendations and incubation schedule for the species you're hatching.

Before You Start

Set up the incubator indoors on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, drafts, and other sources of temperature fluctuation. Follow Borotto's setup instructions before loading your hatching eggs.

And remember, an expensive incubator can control an impressive number of things.

It still cannot make an infertile egg fertile.

Choose good hatching eggs, follow the incubation requirements for your species, keep the machine clean, and resist the overwhelming urge to screw with everything because nothing visibly happened for six hours.

The eggs are busy.

Leave them alone.
