Chicken Rollout Nest Box

Choose a Style

Upgrade nesting without wrecking your budget. This rollout nest box gives hens a cozy, private spot to lay while guiding eggs to a protected collection area—so you get cleaner eggs and fewer cracks. A vented top improves airflow, and the easy-clean plastic wipes down in minutes.

At-a-Glance / Specs

  • Dimensions: 14.5″ (H) × 13″ (W) × 12″ (D)

  • Material: smooth, easy-clean plastic (no splinters, no stink)

  • Ventilation: vented lid/top to reduce condensation & musty odors

  • Collection: set for inside or outside egg collection to fit your coop layout

  • Use: single-hen nest; add more boxes as your flock grows

Who It’s For

Keepers who want cleaner eggs, less nest-raiding, and a nest that cleans fast. Perfect for small coops, backyard flocks, and anyone tired of scrubbing wood corners.

Why It Works

  • Rollout design helps eggs move into a protected tray/area, away from curious beaks and muddy feet.

  • Airflow from the vented top keeps nests drier and more inviting.

  • Plastic shell wipes clean—no lingering smells, fewer mites hiding places.

Install & Setup (Quick Guide)

  1. Mount height: place the box about 18–24″ above floor level, lower than the roosts so hens won’t sleep in it.

  2. Level & secure: ensure a slight internal slope toward the collection side (per model design); tighten all mounts.

  3. Collection direction: choose inside (easy refills/inspections) or outside (quick grabs without entering the coop).

  4. Liner: use a nest pad or minimal bedding so eggs can roll freely into the protected area.

  5. Ratio: plan 1 box per 3–5 hens to reduce traffic jams.

Care & Cleaning

Remove liner/pad, wipe with mild soap & warm water, rinse, and dry fully. Empty the tray/collection area daily. Avoid harsh abrasives and strong chemicals.

Good to Know

  • If eggs aren’t rolling, check that the box is level front-to-back and that bedding isn’t blocking the path.

  • Keep the collection side shaded/dry if you’ve oriented it to the coop exterior.

Shipping & Timing

Ships with your farm-supply order. If your cart also includes print-on-demand items, those will ship separately.
