Happy Hen Ceramic Nest Egg

Choose a Color

Sometimes your hens just need a little hint.

You can give them a perfectly good nest box with clean bedding in a nice quiet spot, and somebody will still decide the corner behind the feeder is clearly where eggs belong.

Happy Hen Ceramic Nest Eggs give your hens a visual cue that says, hey, this is where everybody else is laying. They're especially handy for pullets just starting to lay or hens that have gotten into the habit of choosing their own less-than-convenient nesting spot.

They're made from durable ceramic, look like real eggs, and can also be used when you're trying to figure out whether a hen is actually going broody or just spending an unusually long time in the nest box.

Available in white or brown.

How to Use

Place one or more ceramic eggs in the nest box where you'd like your hens to lay. For pullets approaching laying age, you can put them in the nest boxes ahead of time so the boxes already look like an established laying spot when those first eggs start showing up.

They can also be placed under a hen you're watching for broodiness without leaving real eggs beneath her while you figure out whether she's committed or just being dramatic.
