Electric Heater Base for Chicken Waterers

2 items left

Already have a galvanized chicken waterer you like?

Good. Keep it.

The Electric Heater Base sits underneath compatible galvanized waterers and provides thermostatically controlled heat when temperatures drop, helping keep drinking water from freezing in temperatures down to 10°F.

Basically, your perfectly good summer waterer just got a winter job.

Put the Waterer on Top. Let the Thermostat Handle It.

The built-in thermostat automatically controls the 125-watt heating element, so there's no switch to babysit every time the temperature changes.

Its galvanized steel housing is made for everyday barn and coop use, and the 8-foot grounded cord gives you some flexibility when figuring out where the hell the nearest outlet is.

Setup & Safety

Place the heater base on a stable, level, nonflammable surface and set a compatible galvanized waterer securely on top. Keep bedding and other combustible material away from the heater.

Plug it into a properly functioning GFCI-protected outlet. If an extension cord is necessary, use one rated for the location and electrical load, and keep plugs and connections dry and protected.

Keep the cord away from birds and foot traffic, inspect it regularly for damage, and don't cover the heater base or block required ventilation. Unplug it when it's no longer needed.

No more attacking a block of chicken-water ice before you've had coffee.

Winter has enough crap already.
