Chicken Chill-Out Kit – The Herbal Heat Relief Bundle for Backyard Chickens

Don’t let heatwaves turn your coop into a sauna. The Chicken Chill-Out Kit is your all-in-one solution for hydration, enrichment, and chill vibes—powered by our flock-safe herbal blend, protein treats, and an easy freezing setup that keeps beaks busy and birds cooler.

What’s Inside

  • Feathered Breeze Herbal Blend (5 oz) — Cooling, aromatic mix of lavender, oregano, rosemary, peppermint, chamomile, nettle, and dandelion. Stir into water, juice, low-sodium broth, applesauce, or yogurt; freeze for flock-sized “herb pops.” Also great sprinkled in bedding or treat baskets for enrichment.

  • Bee-Tastic Chicken Treat Mix (7 oz) — Loose, crave-worthy mix with mealworms, black soldier fly larvae, bee pollen, basil, rose petals, and a light honey glaze. Use for scattering, forage mats, or frozen treats. (Enrichment only—this is the party snack, not the daily ration.)

  • Flock Fixer Supplement — Heat- and stress-support blend of vitamins, probiotics, electrolytes, oregano essential oil, and prebiotics. Mix with water; one packet makes up to 14 gallons.

  • Silicone Bundt Mold (color may vary) — Make flock-sized frozen rings by mixing Feathered Breeze or Bee-Tastic with your liquid of choice. Pop out the ice “doughnut,” set at peck height, and enjoy the stampede.

  • Hydration Tip Card — Flock-tested recipes, creative herb-ice ideas, safety signs of heat stress, and boredom-busting tricks all summer.

Who It’s For

Keepers with hens, roosters, pullets, or mixed flocks—if it has feathers, it’s covered. Perfect for heat-prone regions, limited shade setups, or coops that get spicy when temps climb.

How to Use

  1. Freeze the goods: Mix 1–2 tsp herbal blend or a small handful of Bee-Tastic into 2–4 cups of water/juice/broth/applesauce/yogurt. Pour into the Bundt mold (or trays), freeze solid.

  2. Serve smart: Unmold in a shaded, dry area at peck height. Offer during the hottest part of the day.

  3. Hydrate: Mix Flock Fixer per label and refresh waterers often. Provide multiple stations to reduce bullying.

  4. Enrich: Scatter Bee-Tastic lightly or tuck into forage mats.

  5. Rotate: Alternate herb pops and treat pops to keep interest high without overdoing calories.

Keeper Notes & Safety

  • Follow the 90/10 rule: 90% balanced feed, ≤10% treats.

  • Always provide cool, fresh water, shade, and ventilation.

  • For chicks/bantams, crumble frozen treats smaller and offer grit when serving seeds/insects.

  • Signs of heat stress (panting, wings held out, lethargy) warrant immediate cooling measures and shade—consult a poultry-savvy vet if symptoms persist.

  • Bee-Tastic is sticky by design; serve over a tray or in a dish to keep bedding tidy.
