We have liquidated our Icelandic flock and will no longer be offering eggs or chicks.
Add a touch of the wild Nordic lands to your own backyard with our Icelandic Chicken Hatching Eggs! Known as Islenska hænan, Haughænsni, or Landnámshænan in their native country, and simply as Icelandics in the US, this landrace breed of chicken is on the Livestock Conservancy's threatened list, making them a rare and delightful addition to your flock.
Centuries of selection by Icelandic farmers have honed these birds' outstanding foraging skills, broodiness, and reliable laying abilities. Even their eggs are unique, ranging from white to light tan and on the smaller side, adding a delightful variation to your egg basket.
This offering isn't just for eggs – it's for history, diversity, and a touch of the wild unknown. The photos provided are from the exact breed pens your eggs will come from, showcasing the range of possible colors from our own flock. Please note that eggs are priced per dozen.
As committed caretakers of our flock, we ship early in the week to ensure your eggs don't languish in a PO over the weekend. We only ship to US addresses, and packages are sent via USPS Priority Insured for added security.
At Cluck It All Farms, we are active participants in the NPIP program and are A/I clean. Our NPIP certification is under Tina Hines, and our participant number is 31-1508.
Please understand that shipping eggs involve risks. We guarantee to pack your eggs to prevent breakage, but once they leave our farm, we can't assure the quality of the embryo. Detached air cells and other issues are common with shipped eggs, so we cannot guarantee a hatch rate. If you're new to hatching shipped eggs, we're more than happy to answer any questions.
While we don't allow public access to our flocks, we're delighted to send photos or chat via video. If you prefer to pick up the eggs, we can meet at an offsite designated spot. Feel free to reach out anytime – we're here to help you experience the unique joy of hatching Icelandic chickens!
*Disclaimer: Hatching eggs and the success of hatching are influenced by various factors beyond our control, such as incubation conditions, handling during shipment, and individual hatchery practices. While we strive to provide the best hatching eggs possible, we cannot guarantee specific hatch rates or the outcome of your hatching experience.
