Choose the Right Size

The harness comes in three sizes:

• Extra Small: designed for bantams
• Small: designed for hens and average-size chickens
• Medium: designed for roosters and ducks

These are general sizing guidelines. Birds vary in size and body shape, so always check the fit on your individual bird before use.

Getting Your Chicken Used to a Harness

Don't expect to put a harness on your chicken for the first time and immediately head out for a leisurely stroll.

Let your bird get accustomed to the harness gradually in a quiet, familiar area. Make sure it fits securely without restricting normal movement or breathing before attaching a leash.

Once your chicken is comfortable wearing it, attach the leash and keep those first outings short and supervised. Keep the leash loose whenever possible and never drag or pull your bird by the harness.
