You know what's even better than remembering to plug in the de-icer before it freezes?
Not having to remember.
The Thermo Cube® TC-3 is a simple temperature-controlled outlet that automatically switches power to compatible equipment as the surrounding air temperature changes. Plug the Thermo Cube into an outlet, plug your compatible heater or de-icer into the Thermo Cube, and its built-in thermostat handles the switching.
No app.
No Wi-Fi.
No standing in the coop at 9 PM wondering if you remembered to plug the damn thing in.
The TC-3 Thermo Cube is designed for cold-weather home and farm applications and activates around 35°F.
It's especially handy for poultry keepers using compatible chicken waterer de-icers or other cold-weather equipment. Instead of manually plugging and unplugging equipment as temperatures change, the Thermo Cube responds to the surrounding air temperature and controls power automatically according to its preset operating range.
There's nothing to program.
Which is excellent, because the chickens have already used up enough of your day.
Plug the Thermo Cube into an appropriate standard 120V outlet, then plug your compatible equipment into the Thermo Cube.
Position the Thermo Cube where it can accurately sense the surrounding air temperature. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, buried in bedding, next to another heat source, or anywhere else that could give it a misleading temperature reading.
Check the electrical requirements and operating instructions for both the Thermo Cube and the equipment you're connecting before use. Never exceed the Thermo Cube's 15 amp rating.
Then test your setup before you actually need it.
Because discovering something isn't working correctly during the first hard freeze is a shitty troubleshooting strategy.
Use only with compatible equipment within the Thermo Cube's electrical ratings.
For outdoor or damp-location setups, use appropriately rated equipment and electrical connections and keep connections protected from moisture. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical safety requirements for your installation.
Don't use a Thermo Cube as an excuse to turn an unsafe heat source into a safe one. Heat lamps and flammable chicken coop materials remain a combination we don't screw around with.
Once it's set up, there's no app to check and no settings to fiddle with.
One less winter chicken chore requiring you to remember something.
We'll take it.
