Natural Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate) 16 oz Resealable Pouch

Every chicken keeper should have a few basics on hand.

Natural Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate) is one of those simple supplies many poultry owners keep in their coop first aid kit. It's plain, unscented magnesium sulfate with no added fragrances, dyes, or unnecessary ingredients.

Many chicken keepers use Epsom salt as part of supportive care for warm foot soaks, supervised soaking during egg-binding care, and other cleaning or soaking needs around the coop.

This is not a medication, but it can be a useful addition to your poultry care supplies.

Common Poultry Uses (Supportive Care)

Many backyard chicken keepers use Epsom salt for:

  • Warm foot soaks during bumblefoot care
  • Supportive soaking for swelling from minor injuries
  • Supervised warm water soaks as part of egg-binding supportive care
  • General cleaning and soaking needs around the coop

Results vary depending on the situation, and Epsom salt is not a substitute for veterinary care.

How To Use

Foot Soak:
Dissolve 1–2 tablespoons in warm water and soak the affected foot for 10–15 minutes. Dry thoroughly before applying any follow-up care.

Warm Support Soak:
Add to warm water as part of a supervised soak. Never leave a bird unattended.

Always consult a poultry-savvy veterinarian for serious injuries, infections, or ongoing issues.
