Deluxe Hen Hydrator Chicken Nipple Waterer

Choose a Size

Some chickens look at a perfectly clean open waterer and immediately start brainstorming what they can put in it.

Bedding?

Feed?

Dirt?

Something deeply questionable?

The Deluxe Hen Hydrator skips the open drinking tray altogether. Four side-mounted nipple drinkers give adult chickens access to water directly from the reservoir, while the translucent bucket lets you see when it's getting low without opening it up.

Less open water for chickens to redecorate.

We consider that progress.

Choose Your Hydrator

The Deluxe Hen Hydrator comes in 1-gallon and 3-gallon sizes, so you can choose the capacity that makes sense for your flock and setup.

Both sizes feature four side-mounted nipple drinkers and a translucent, UV-protected reservoir for easy water-level checks.

Up top, the sloped twist-locking lid gives you easy access for filling and cleaning while making the waterer a considerably less convenient place to park a chicken butt.

They'll find somewhere else.

They always do.

Setup & Care

Hang the Hydrator securely with the nipples positioned at a comfortable drinking height for your birds.

If your flock hasn't used nipple drinkers before, tap the nipple so a droplet forms and show them where the water comes from. Watch closely and make sure your birds are successfully drinking before relying on the Hydrator as their only water source.

Check the water supply daily and keep the nipples clear of bedding and debris. Clean the reservoir and nipples as needed with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and inspect regularly for damage or restricted flow.

This is a non-heated waterer. Protect it from freezing or switch to an appropriate heated watering setup when temperatures drop.

Your chickens will still find plenty of other things to make disgusting.

The drinking tray just doesn't have to be one of them.
